ClearSignal is a Shopify app that sorts your store's sessions into real shoppers, good AI agents, bad bots and unclassified traffic, using its own detection as a second opinion next to Shopify's. It shows your conversion rate with bad bot and AI agent sessions taken out, estimates the ad spend going to bots, and shows the sales AI agents drive. It measures rather than blocks, and it doesn't change Shopify's own reports.

What ClearSignal shows you
- Who is visiting. Every session sorted into human, good agent, bad bot or unclassified.
- Your true conversion rate. Your conversion rate with bad bot and AI agent sessions taken out of the count.
- What bots cost you. An estimate of the ad spend that went to bot visits, once you enter your monthly ad spend.
- AI agent sales. The AI shopping agents visiting your store and the sales they drive, kept counted as real visitors instead of bots.
- Where bots come from. Bot traffic by channel and by country, so you can see which traffic sources it hits.
- Answers in your admin. Ask Sidekick for your bot rate without opening the app.
- Report views that fit your store. Leave countries you don't sell to out of your report views.
How it works
Install and turn on the app embed
ClearSignal adds an app embed to your theme and a web pixel. It counts traffic from the day you turn on the app embed.
ClearSignal sorts each session
The embed sends signals such as how the visitor moves and scrolls, the referrer and the landing page, and ClearSignal classifies the session. IP addresses are shortened before anything is stored.
Read the numbers and decide
Your dashboard shows your true conversion rate, what bots cost you and the AI agents visiting your store. You decide what to change, such as ad targeting.

Common questions
Does ClearSignal block bots?
No. It measures and reports; it doesn't block visitors. Leaving a country out of your reports only changes what your reports show.
Does it change my Shopify analytics?
No. Shopify's own reports stay as they are. ClearSignal shows its own view next to them, as a second opinion.
Can it show bot traffic from before I installed it?
No. It only counts traffic from the day you turn on its app embed, so your numbers build from that day.
What data does ClearSignal collect?
Session signals such as mouse and scroll activity, screen size, the referrer and the landing page, plus a session ID. IP addresses are shortened before they are stored or logged, and bot detection, the visit cookie and the web pixel run only when the shopper allows analytics. The privacy policy lists everything.
Will it slow my store?
The app embed's script is deferred, and its bot detection loads when the browser is idle, so neither holds up your page while it loads.
