DedupeIQ is a monday.com app that scans a board for duplicate items by name, email, phone and company, and shows each match with the reason it matched. You review each pair and choose what to keep. DedupeIQ merges only after you confirm, and it archives the duplicate instead of deleting it, so you can restore it.

What DedupeIQ does
- Matches on four details. Name, email, phone and company, with the columns picked for you and easy to change.
- Exact and near duplicates. Items with the same email or phone, and near-duplicates such as nicknames, typos and company name variants.
- Shows its work. A confidence score and a line on why each pair matched, with both items side by side.
- Merges field by field. Empty fields are filled from the other item. Where both have a value, you pick one or type a corrected one.
- Optional AI review. monday AI checks your least certain pairs and marks each one likely the same, likely different or unsure, as advice. You still decide.
- Bulk merge and other boards. Merge many confirmed pairs at once, and find duplicates across boards, where you keep one item and fill its blanks from the other.
How it works
Install and open
Install DedupeIQ, then add it to a board as a board view.
Check the columns and scan
Confirm which columns hold the name, email, phone and company, and scan the board. Scanning never changes your board.
Review and merge
Open a match, confirm it or mark it not a duplicate, and merge the ones you confirm. You choose the item to keep and the value for each field.

Common questions
Does DedupeIQ merge automatically?
No. Nothing on your board changes until you review a match and click Merge. AI review is advice only; you still confirm or dismiss each pair.
What happens to the duplicate item?
The item you keep gets the combined values, and the duplicate is archived, not deleted, so you can restore it from the board's archive. Columns it can't copy, such as files, subitems and links to other boards, are listed before you merge and stay on the archived item, along with its updates.
Can it find near-duplicates with typos?
Yes. It finds near-duplicates such as nicknames, typos and company name variants, including an email or phone number with a typo.
Does DedupeIQ use AI?
Only if you click AI review. It runs on monday AI and uses your monday account's AI credits. Its verdicts are advice, and you make the call.
Does it store my board data?
In the board view, matching runs in your browser. If you ask DedupeIQ in monday sidekick, its server checks the board in memory and keeps nothing. Names, emails, phone numbers and column values aren't stored on its servers; DedupeIQ keeps IDs, counts, match scores, your review decisions and merge records. Uninstalling deletes what it stored.
